Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. It is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility, and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the needful practice of the Christian. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7

Father, in Your mercy, hear our prayers.

Hi! I'd like for the church to pray for my son's father and grandmother in Charleston, SC. His grandmother was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer about 4 months ago and has gone through several rounds of chemo and is doing fairly well at the moment. Her son, my sons father, has been living with her and helping her out but over the last 3 to 4 weeks he has gotten sick. On Wed., June 30th, he got put on hospice with a life expectancy of 2 weeks. Please pray for both of them and my son and all of their families as they go through this. Thank you very much! Teresa DuBois

Pray for my friend. He became a Christian two years ago, and has fallen back into some old addictions - He's smoking weed, getting drunk and watching porn. He has stopped fighting. He really needs God's help so please pray that his heart's desire may be substituted for God again. Pray that He remembers whose he is and what Jesus has done in his life. I thank you and God Bless all you Shecites for praying with me for Jesus to make all things new.
